Bio
Marja Toivonen
Kaisa is an exceptionally productive and energetic young researcher. She has published four articles in high-level journals, written one book chapter, and there are six other papers in which work is in progress. Last year she was awarded with Highly Commended Paper of the Year in the Journal of Service Theory and Practice. Kaisa is well known in the community of service researchers. She has participated actively in scientific conferences (nine presentations) and been an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals. Her work experience includes project work at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and more theoretically oriented research work at the University of Hawai'i and Karlstad University. She has also teaching experience from several academic courses. While Kaisa's career development has been surprisingly rapid, even more importantly: she is a team player. I have been in several conferences and meetings together with her and seen how supportive she is towards other researchers. She is eager to comment and her comments are always trying to push the colleagues' efforts forward, encourage and raise academic curiosity. I warmly recommend Kaisa to academic or other research positions - she definitely has much to give to any work community.

I had privilege to work with Kaisa for several years in various research and customer projects. In her work Kaisa had very high work ethic. She doesn't just deliver what is promised, but always aims to provide best for the customers - often exceeding expectations. Passion and exceptional attitude of Kaisa is also very inspiring for the people around her. She motivates her co-workers to set the bar higher and encourages and supports them to achieve their goals. Kaisa has desire to continuously learning new things. Although she has gained very deep knowledge in specific academic areas, her strength is also the ability to see broader picture across different disciplines. Moreover, she can apply theoretical knowledge to solve complex real-life problems. Kaisa is exceptional talent and I highly recommend her for challenging R&D and management positions that require high performance, smooth co-operation and high commitment.
