  I was appointed as Account Manager for the retail & services department at Design partnership. I have a portfolio of clients that include Standard Bank, Safari & Outdoor and Coricraft to name a few, that I manage and design the spaces for.   I am contracted to Edcon Group Properties. During my tenure at Edcon, the redesigning and relaying out of the Edgars Retail, and to create a Department store that rivals on international standard.• Sales Brief Layouts – According to annual sales, a store would be reworked and larger or smaller adjacencies would be implemented and distributed to the in house, local and International Brands. The objective is the increase sales in the stores. This would include how a store would flow, leading the customer from entrance to Point of Sales. Throughout 2013 & 2014, Edgars introduced International European & American Apparel and Casual brands within the store. We were tasked in reworking the store and accommodating promising areas where a Brand Build could be designed and installed throughout the Edgars stores in South Africa. • Fixture Layouts – After laying out the store in departmental order, each department would be fitted with department specific fixtures for wall & floor merchandising. During these fixture layouts, one has to space plan, consider traffic flow and the merchandising opportunities. Creating visual stimulus for clientele, creating ‘hotspots’ within the store. In line with the task, was to optimize an area, or brand and achieve cost effectiveness during manufacturing, not wasting space or have unnecessary fixtures in the store. • Drawing team management – Tasked to ensure all drawings are saved, drawn and submitted according to company standards. Implementation of drawing standards & principles within the drawing team. This included the delegation of work to the team, marking up drawings and checking standards before issuing for construction. Also ensuring the drawing server had the most up to date drawings in accessible formats, for all parties to be able to view and process. • Liaison with Project management on start to completion dates. Order lists and quantities to be compiled in an Excel format to send to suppliers & manufacturers. Show less
