I ran for Member of County Assembly ( MCA) in Mukurweini Central, Nyeri during the 2017 election in Nyeri, Kenya. Over the two month period, we gained exceptional traction on the ground with a five (5) point manifesto that I felt would change the current development and health issues that currently plug the ward. We set out to make sure that : i) Education continuity for the youth became a more realistic avenue. 50% of children drop out between primary and secondary school. We came up with incentivised programs that we knew would keep kids in school and motivated to further their respective education. ii) Enhance employment and Job opportunities iii) Enhanced healthcare for women, children and marginalised groups. iv) Development of roads v) Infrastructure and Technology for farmers. After running a successful, energetic campaign for two months that brought the community together, we were unsuccessful in our bid, but not deterred by the progress and influence that team Kagwe left in Mukurweini Central.

List of my responsibilities: - Advisory Consultant. - Creating and Implementing avenues of restructuring and rebuilding for Co-operatives and Sacco's. - Developing financial budgets and operation systems that allow free-flowing company structures. - Enabling and identifying key positions and structural schemes for business operations in Sacco's, Corporates and Private companies to operate in line with strategic visions. - Conducting feasibility studies and business plans for prospective clients. - Tasked with sourcing new clientele and expanding Sacco associations with Co-operative Bank. I also served three (3) months at Co-op House Branch, on an attachment, in order to fully understand and utilize banking procedures and policies. The purpose of this attachment was to develop the skills needed to satisfyingly come up with the various financial and structural solutions that Sacco's and various organizations face on a day to day basis.
