My research investigated water use at Luther College, and processes to reduce the College’s carbon footprint. The project involved creating building profiles on a relational database, developing a methodology for measuring the water used by various appliances, and drafting a report of recommendations of efficiency measures and potential savings.   Discovery Camps are week-long opportunities for students from preschool through middle school to get hands-on outdoor learning experiences. As a counselor, I helped students explore their relationship with other campers and the broader world around them. We investigated animal tracks, plant and insect species, macroinvertebrates, fire building, shelter building, and relationships between organisms.
