Working at McDonald's taught me how to work as a team player. I enjoyed teaching the new crew member on how to do things within the restaurant. Although there were many obstacles, we were able to overcome them together. While in college I frequently stop by to pick up a couple shifts when I'm home and not working my other jobs. Since I worked as a camp counselor for several years, being the director of a camp was new, exciting and fun for me. I learned better time management skills and learned how to lead others who are closer to my age. Everyday I would plan the activities for the following day while also making sure the children stayed safe. Some other duties were cleaning, snack preparation and answering questions from parents/guardians. I love working there and I thank God for the experience. Working with children all day during the summer to have fun, but also keep the learning going throughout the off season. While being a counselor, you have an opprotunity everyday to connect with children of all ages by playing games, scavenger hunts, special camps (such as theater and basketball), and learning life lessons.
