Curiosity is the word that comes to mind when I think about Kacper. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Kacper for almost a year, during which time he supported marketing activities in UK and partly in the Asian region. Above all, I was impressed with Kacper’s ability to take an interest in all the various facets of the finance industry and banking world, keeping himself always up to date with the latest news and trends. Kacper would be a true asset for any positions requiring curiosity and engagement in general business development and marketing management.

I’ve recently been working on a series of shoots and Kacper has been assisting with the logistics and ground support. Polite and confident, he’s great to have around on the team. Helping to wrangle and brief the portrait subjects, Kacper has a great rapport with clients based on his friendly but professional approach. When we were discussing the AI technologies involved in the project, Kacper was able to explain in detail the more complicated aspects of the operation, which was a great help to me and the team.

I provide language services for non-native English speakers in both the academic and corporate setting. I create my own content, using a variety of digital resources (such as audio and visual files, interactive activities, online presentations, reading analysis etc.) so lessons are engaging and directly reflect my client's objectives, interests and language proficiency levels. I aim to make my content as interesting and educational as possible and tackle a variety of topics like international studies, philosophy, history, business English, technology and the future. Using collaborative, online applications like Google Docs I also provide detailed feedback for various types of written content. I proofread work with a meticulous attention to detail as well as edit both academic and business copy. By carefully providing advice on language, structure and content, I enable my clients to accurately express themselves in a way that is linguistically powerful, while also being in line with their values or company culture.

I use IBM's Watson Assistant to code dialogue for the AI chatbot at MAS400.com. The Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS) is a grass roots initiative led by marine research non-profit ProMare with support from IBM and a global consortium of partners. MAS will be the world's first autonomous unmanned ship to cross the Atlantic and will collect critical scientific data on the ocean. My role: - Write dialogue for the interactive AI octopus chatbot so stakeholders and the public can easily understand MAS's mission. This involves having an understanding of the technology on the ship such as edge computing and machine learning so it can conduct research in areas like ocean acoustics and marine plastic pollution. - Conduct photography of the ship and its crew. - Update the twitter account for Artie the Octopus (chatbot profile). - Organise public relations events with journalists. - Shadow key meetings involving new potential stakeholders in the project.

Cambly is an online teaching platform that allows students from all over the world to practice their English skills in a personalised way, one-to-one. It has therefore encouraged me as a teacher to be flexible in the way I conduct lessons to cater for differing student objectives, interests and skill levels. While I am the one giving the lessons, learning on Cambly often feels very mutual because working in such a cosmopolitan environment allows me to hear student insights and experiences from several different countries and cultures. I have intermittently worked as an independent contractor on Cambly alongside my university degree and so have specialised the content of majority of my lessons to focus on international affairs. Many of my students have expressed a lot satisfaction in the creativity and progress of our sessions over the years and I have officially obtained a high student feedback rating of 4.88*/5*.

    • Representative of the DRC in the United Nations Economic and Social Council
      • Jun 2019 - Jul 2019

Participating in UNISCA - a Model United Nations Organisation - was an incredibly useful opportunity and I was fortunate to be representing a controversial, yet crucial developing country: the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I first academically built up my knowledge of United Nations mechanisms through a series of independent research projects and critical writing tasks (to which I was awarded one of the highest assessment grades in my course - 80%). I then proceeded to apply this theoretical knowledge to a practical environment of group presentations and diplomatic negotiation to simulate the workings of the UN Economic and Social Council. I now not only have a better understanding of crucial contemporary issues (such as increasing universal access to clean modern energy and women's involvement in political decision making) but also have learnt how to apply this in my committee and persuasively promote our proposed policy through careful diplomacy. UNISCA helped me deal with the high-pressure situations of creatively finding and presenting solutions to urgent, global social and economic issues under both improvised and prepared circumstances. A key element of the experience was to critically evaluate our own progress, and that of our peers and organisation in order to learn from mistakes and create a more efficient operational strategy in the future - ultimately helping create a more fair and sustainable world.

Involved teaching English to Spanish speakers in class sizes ranging from 3-15 students at various ages. All of the content and lesson plans were self-created. A diverse range of techniques, games and activities were employed to cater for differing learning styles while also keeping lessons fun and engaging. The role also involved helping to create and distribute flyers while simultaneously giving short speeches to promote awareness of the school in the local community. Furthermore, I was tasked to recruit more English teachers when expanding the school's size which comprised of finding potential teachers and administering interviews.
