Confidence, you can see it a mile away It’s someone at their most. At their very best. And when they have it, there’s no stopping them. This feeling is why we exist. Speaking up in a meeting and not backing down. Signing up for a marathon and taking a place on the start line. Cooking a flawless three-course meal for the parents-in-law. Wearing that new dress, knowing it looks great. We aren’t here to turn anyone into someone else. We share the ideas, advice and reassurance for people to be themselves. Never to say that they should, only that they can. We began nearly a century ago, with the first issue of Good Housekeeping and have since grown into a network that reaches millions of people every day. As a business, we’re still changing. Exploring new opportunities and dreaming up new ideas. But we’ll always believe in the power of magazines to fulfil our purpose – to give people the confidence to live the life they want to live. As the newest member of the Bank House team, my main focus was to expand on their candidate database and to discover new or overlooked talent in the market. As a team we were devoted to giving our Clients a personal service no other agency could offer and for this we needed to get to know our candidates just as well as our clients, it was ultimately just about the right person for the job not about securing a fee. I mainly worked on a permanent role basis, however, I later began to work on developing the interim/contracts side of the business. This is a much faster paced side of recruitment, often clients need a temp yesterday! It brought a new element to the business, meeting and working with a vast amount of people, job satisfaction is quick to come when your making placements on a daily basis. Show less

Initially I joined the company as a Dual site Manager, I was responsible for the effective running of two Warehouse external businesses, one in House of Fraser and one in Debenhams. I was then asked to cover maternity leave in a near by town, where the manager had been absent for a number of months. Here I was able to dramatically increase profitability. I acted as second in command to the Store Manager - Responsible for rotas, payroll, forecasting, weekly & monthly reports and the general day to day running of the store including personal shopping appointments, building a strong repertoire with our VIP clients and ensuring staff were performing against their KPI's. Reis is a luxury high street brand - I spent a lot of time attending events, meetings and training in London head office where I was able to understand the core values of the company, identify our target market and evaluate competitors.
