At Gateway Community College, I get to teach in the mathematics department (MAT121, MAT151, MAT081) and I have had many opportunity to learn and contribute with other staff: I worked with Shannon Ruth to create a free online Math Camp; I attended the pilot of Gateway's Adjunct Academy, and I took EDU250 with the amazingly helpful Karen Russo.

At Metropolitan Arts Institute, I get to teach left-brained mathematics to right-brained art students -- it's the best! In addition to teaching 9th grade Algebra 1, 10th grade Geometry, and 12th grade Personal Finance, I also get to assist with a variety of school functions: Head of Math Department, Associate Director of Student Services, before-school computer lab, lunch-time detention, after-school tutoring, and District Testing Coordinator of standardized tests like AIMS, AzMerit, PSAT, etc. Show less
