  • FSU Marine Biology Program

    • FSU Research Intern
      • May 2017 - Jun 2017

During this internship I was located in the Florida Keys for one month where I worked every day researching the possible effects of translocation from Atlantic to Gulf waters and vice versa on sponges. Underneath the supervision of a Marine Biology TA from FSU I, along with the other intern, also conducted regeneration experiments with some of the specimens we collected. The internship gave me good experience working in and around a lab and in the field as part of a team. It taught me time management and planning skills along with giving me good exposure to a field of science I am interested in. I was also able to develop and complete an independent project measuring the regrowth rate of damaged sponges in different environments. Show less
