Grants Specialist

Oct 2022 - Present
As a pre-award grants specialist, I focused on gathering data and researching grants that would be beneficial for SORTA, a public transit agency, and its projects. Bringing people together and building relationship between departments is an ongoing task that has yielded millions of dollars in grants to support public transit in the Cincinnati area. I have worked to organize a local small business which had troubles with loss of inventory, miscommunication between staff members, and a lack of service with clients. I have created multiple systems within the business to connect staff members such as switching to a Google Suite system where all staff had access. By using my knowledge of organizational skills, I have created a better environment for clients and created less stress for those I report to. May 2019 - Sep 2019
I hiked 2653+ miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. I hiked across the Mojave Desert into the Sierra-Nevada Mountain Range through the remnants of the Northern California wildfire forests across the volcanoes of Central Oregon and finishing through the mountains of the Cascades in Washington. I created memories that will last a lifetime and lessons that I reflect back on consistently. I hiked 2653+ miles on the Pacific Crest Trail.
