I have worked with Justin for almost 19 years. When I joined Shell, Justin was the Sr. National Account Manager managing our highly profitable Axius/ Auto expressions business for Wal-Mart and Sam's club. I love to tell this story as it really show how much Justin understands about what is really behind sales. I came from a CPG background. My Wal-Mart presentations were about marketing efforts, Ad's we planned to run, somewhat sterile formal presentations. Our first Axius line review, Justin is setting up our business conference room in Hawaiian chic. We have Sand, Grass, a palm tree! I ask him...what are you doing? Where is the sales deck? Justin's answer...."Mike the deck was done 2 weeks ago, we are ready with the material". "You have to understand what it takes to sell Axius....it is not the deck...it's the feel the buyers get when they envision themselves using our products." It was truly game changing for me to see what lengths Justin would go to in selling the products we offered. He was fantastic. He owned 95% of the Wal-Mart Auto Accessories modular for years. That is truly remarkable work. I can attest to his strong coaching delivery. I have seen the sales reps that Justin has coached. Many have gone on to great positions at Shell and elsewhere. Justin just did not coach his folks, he coached up as well. He truly shaped how I show up to work and I thank him for it every chance I get. Justin is unflappable under pressure. I would highly recommend Justin for a sales leadership or executive position. He is one of the best I got to work with in over 20 years at Shell.
