Plan social content for NFCYM (National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry), utilize Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, manage scheduling of posts through Hootsuite and Buffer, navigate social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, etc. In 2021 I was enlisted as a volunteer to assist with the NCYC Youth Event Instagram stories and live content capturing on site in Indianapolis. I took photos and videos of the event and was accountable for creating and posting about the event to the NCYC channel. I volunteered in the same capacity in 2022 when NCYC was hosted in Long Beach. In 2023 focus shifted to creating reels for the 2023 NCYC event in Indianapolis. Show less

With no experience in the event industry, I decided to apply for the position of Event Production Assistant with AKJOHNSTON Group on a whim. With my previous position as an Event and Communications Coordinator for Pomona College, a Project Manager with AKJOHNSTON Group saw potential in my work experience and decided to take me on as in intern with the company for 3 months. I'm currently still in my internship, so stayed tuned for my final thoughts once February 22, 2022 comes around! I work alongside three other staff members at the Richman Community Center in Fullerton. We supervise and assist over 40+ elementary school students. On a daily basis, we conduct outdoor activities, help with homework, provide snack, and more to the children in our care. We place great emphasis on safety for the youth and hope to provide an environment of empowerment for the kids from the staff but also with each other. I was an attendee for the SALT (Service and leadership team) program in 2015 and later became a co-lead in 2017. SALT helped me develop tools in my own faith journey that I still carry with me today. I grew more into the person I wanted to be as a minister and follower of Christ and it became evident to a lot of my peers who vouched for me to continue volunteering for the program. I'm incredibly thankful to the team who believed in what I could do for others and the love I have for God.
