  My responsiblities and duties in this role are as follows: 1. Inventory Control and Planning: I am responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all medical equipment and supplies in stock. I monitor stock levels and forecast demand based on historical data and trends. 2. Receiving and Inspecting: Upon delivery of new shipments, I oversee the receiving process. That is check the received items for accuracy, quality, and any potential damages. Proper documentation and verification of received goods are essential for inventory accuracy. 3. Storage and Organization: Efficient organization of medical equipment is critical to ensure easy retrieval and prevent any mix-ups. As inventory manager its my duty to establish a systematic storage layout and ensures that all items are appropriately labeled and stored in their designated locations. 4. Stock Rotation and Shelf Life Management: In the medical field, some equipment and supplies have limited shelf life. As inventory manager I am tasked with implementing the "first-in-first-out" (FIFO) principle to ensure that items with the earliest expiration dates are used first to prevent waste and expiration-related issues. 5. Inventory Auditing and Reporting: I am tasked with conducting regular inventory audits so as to reconcile physical counts with the system records. Discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. I also generate reports on stock levels, consumption rates, and trends for the management team to make informed decisions. 6. Coordination with Other Departments: As inventory manager I collaborate with other departments such as sales, operations, and customer service to align inventory strategies with overall business goals. This coordination helps in streamlining processes and improving customer satisfaction. Show less
