I highly recommend Justine Deschamps for academic and workplace opportunities. I was Justine’s High School Coop Teacher in the Spring term of 2020. Justine was given two coop placements: one placement with Hydro Ottawa and another placement with IKEA Ottawa. Justine is a responsible and diligent student who possesses great listening skills, creativity and a positive outlook on all of her learning. Securing two coop placements requires that the coop teacher feel that the student is mature and trustworthy because the student has to manage two placements and the workload for the supervising teacher is doubled. Only a few coop students are able to be given two placements with these enhanced experiential learning opportunities. While at Hydro Ottawa, Justine worked with Shari Jones as her supervisor. Shari is Hydro Ottawa’s Supervisor of GIS & Distribution Records and Justine was learning about GIS (geographic information system) at Hydro’s new state-of-the-art facility. High School CO-OP in eleventh grade, completed at the same time as the IKEA CO-OP. I completed numerous Health and Safety certifications, I earned experience with GIS systems and worked mainly with renaming Hydro Ottawa poles on their database. Unfortunately, this experience was cut short due to the uprising of Covid-19. High School CO-OP in eleventh grade, completed at the same time as the IKEA CO-OP. High School CO-OP in eleventh grade, completed at the same time as my Hydro Ottawa CO-OP. I learnt to replace damaged and dangerous furniture and/or accessories around the store, I helped place furniture in showrooms, replace discontinued furniture with new models and design showrooms throughout the store. Unfortunately, this experience was cut short due to the spread of Covid-19. High School CO-OP in eleventh grade, completed at the same time as my Hydro Ottawa CO-OP. Over two summers, I worked at the Barrhaven Dental Center. My job consisted of pulling patient charts (paper copy) for dentists and hygienists when those patients would come for an appointment, and then returning those charts to their places after the patients' visit. Additionally, I was tasked with shredding expired documents when needed. Over two summers, I worked at the Barrhaven Dental Center.
