Justin possesses a true sales brain; he's a seller by nature and hasn't just fallen into a sales career. For every campaign he runs, he continuously "reconfigures" his approach to give himself the best opportunity for success. I was always confident that Justin's deals didn't have anything left to chance or hope, where he could impact the result. He prepares beforehand for a set of outcomes to make sure he can move the deal to the next stage at the end of each contact. He truly considers the stakeholders involved and prepares for a range of objections, specific to the stakeholders in question. He presents value that's relevant and tailored to his audience. Even when things don't look great, Justin often finds a way to "get the job done" through pure determination to win. The sales literature doesn't talk so much about this characteristic but I also think Justin's "curiosity" is a key to his success. At Viewpoint, he was determined to know the specifics of the software and the industry despite no background in ERP or accounting. I think that instinct enables him to understand the value of what he is selling but also naturally translates into him having rich and meaningful conversations with his prospects. The result of Justin's exceptional sales acumen is a greatly reduced number of lost deals and a limited number of "no decision" deals. I'd hire him into any sales role without a second thought.
