  The UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program seeks to prepare early career college students from diverse backgrounds to become future leaders in the conservation movement. As the director, I have helped to co-create, develop, and manage this program since 2015. In addition to being the program director, I was elected to the Santa Cruz City Council in November of 2018 and currently serve as Vice Mayor for the City of Santa Cruz.
