The UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program seeks to prepare early career college students from diverse backgrounds to become future leaders in the conservation movement. As the director, I have helped to co-create, develop, and manage this program since 2015. In addition to being the program director, I was elected to the Santa Cruz City Council in November of 2018 and currently serve as Vice Mayor for the City of Santa Cruz. The UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program seeks to prepare early career college students from diverse backgrounds to become future leaders in the conservation movement.
