      With Newmark Grubb Zimmer I am apart of the retail team and represent retail properties and tenants. We currently represent fifteen shopping centers around the Kansas City metro and approximately 1,500,000 SF of retail space. We also represent many retails tenants such as Design Within Reach, The Exit Room, Pinot's Palette, Mariner Finance, Wingz & More and many others. Another area of specialty is site selection, locating the right location for certain types of retailers is pivotal to their success. We are currently providing our services for site selection all over the KC metro, Des Moines, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Houston and Atlanta.       MAT provided transportation services for more than twenty school districts throughout the Western half of Missouri. We employed approximately 165 people at twenty-two locations in Missouri with a fleet of 140 vehicles. Our goal was always to provide the safest transportation possible to our clients while making sure we were also being extremely efficient. Both of these items are very important to both the District as well as the patrons of the district whose children are being transported as well as paying taxes. In the transportation business I originally began as a Mechanic and worked my way to the top. This has given me a vast amount of experience which allows me to look at things from every direction. I definitely feel that is an asset when dealing with clients and negotiating. It is always good to understand where everyone is coming from in business and in life. One of the greatest experiences I have had in the business world is managing others. I have managed up to 500 people and that is an experience all in its self. Everyone has an opinion and feel that they are always correct. I quickly learned that it is always best to be upfront and let people know where you stand on important issues, and when necessary to take the time to explain why you feel that way. This will make everyone have a better understanding of what is taking place and why you make certain decisions. Show less
