As part of my studies at EHL Hospitality Business School, I have the opportunity to pursue a 24-week operational internship. I chose to carry out mine at the legendary Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel. I will be a part of the guest relations team of the hotel where I will constantly be trying my utmost best to provide the finest quality service to our guests and be an exemplary member of the team. Cuchara is a two michelin starred restaurant in Lommel, Belgium, by Chef Jan Tournier who inspires its very modern a creative cuisine. The past four months I have worked there as a member of the service staff, taking on roles such as bringing and explaining courses in several different languages and overall creating an experience for the customer not to forget. I also help out in the kitchen assembling dishes when necessary and to do the mise-en-place. As part of my Internship, I had the pleasure to be a rotational intern within the front office department where I saw the workings of the Service Center, Reception, Conciergerie, and the Intercontinental Club Member Lounge. This was a very enriching experience for me, within the heart of this establishment and within the state of Qatar, which I am very thankful for.
