Jurgen’s business acumen, deep knowledge of HR and the C&B field in particular, and strategic focus are really inspiring. During our time at TUI, I had many chances to learn from him. His solid leadership was key for the department’s success in delivering prompt and quality service to our internal customers. Before the digital age when remote management was not the norm, he managed to work across three countries, manage multiple multicultural and multilingual teams, and travel on a regular basis without going crazy. I particularly liked how he was able to be a solid connection point between the Executive Board of TUI AG and the teams he managed, keeping the communication flow running smoothly, so that we would always be aware of any changes in the external environment and able to adapt our processes and work streams accordingly without losing track of the big picture. Moreover, he took the time to coach me when I was at lows or stuck on a given issue. And I’ll throw in the low-key informal leading style as a bonus, it worked out great for me. Definitely a great leader for a C&B team.
