- Designed 800MHz to 3GHz SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) duplexer (Transmitter and Receiver filters) and Quadplexer (two duplexers) for wireless Front-End Module (FEM) such as WiFi filter, GPS filter, LTE Low-band, Mid-band, High-band duplexer- Built duplexer with AWR (Microwave Office) from schematic, then translated die and PCB design by executing ground coupling path into a layout with AutoCAD and performed electromagnetic simulation utilizing HFSS- Provided guidance to testing engineering by drafting customer’s requirements and specification. - Created testing plan to characterize and validate filters and Front-End Module performance. Oversaw customer’s test and in-house test to analyze- Troubleshoot with physics engineer, product engineer and test engineer to resolve issues such as isolation, noise interference and improve filter performance- Performed failure mode analysis on defected products and assisted in designing testing system with customer- Successfully taped out 30 duplexer design turns in three years and 6 designs were engineering sampling and 3 designs were delivered to mass production Show less

Engineering Testing - Characterized measurement and testing of switch with VNA (vector network analyzer): S-Parameter of return loss, insertion loss and isolation - Measured the linearity (Input IP3/IP2, 2nd/3rd-harmonic distortion or P1dB), settling and switching time of RF switches such as SPDT, SP3T, SP4T with signal generator, spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope VCA (voltage control attenuator) Design - Improved the old design of T-model VCA to increase its attenuation range and kept low insertion loss, return loss and high IIP3 - Simulated the finished design utilizing ADS and tested the EVB samples to assure the design meets the spec requirements Product Marketing - Performed a market research on wireless charging to analyze its trends, standards, collaborators, market size and presented research analysis to market engineering department to assist next direction of company - Gathered engineering data to compare all the current products against competitors’ products, and explained the product to non-engineering customers with PowerPoint Show less
