I worked at Zeta Charter Schools as a head teacher. During the 2020-2021 school year I taught an in person pod of students through the school year from August to June. I had 6-7 students in my class with IEPs and 3 students who required evaluations. My job was doing lesson planning for both myself and the grade curriculum, speaking to parents, holding parent-teacher meetings, attending IEP meeting to advocate for my students, doing data collection, analysis, and specialized intervention, and so much more. I led and planned 3-4 guided reading groups a day as well as every major lesson component. We practiced an incredible amount of love, community building, and love of learning. Much of our classroom culture was around the concept of team, forming community, learning skills, and identity exploration. Show less
