Quality Assurance Technician IResponsible for ensuring quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory requirements in all product produced by The Wine Group.-Perform daily audits of manufacturing lines to ensure traceability of product, GMP practices, and HACCP-Monitor finished goods through measurement of product quality compared to company standard-Perform environmental and equipment sanitation checks via ATP swabs, microbial swabs, and air plate reading-Conduct line sanitation and sanitation validation on pre-existing and upcoming production lines to validate sanitation efficiency -Perform bi-hourly micro plating of production samples to ensure high quality wine is packaged -Read and identify microbial growth of bi-hourly micro samples based on morphological and culture characteristics utilizing visualization (stereoscope/microscope) -Implement PALL genedisc PCR to identify specific species of microbial growth in product-Place product and material on hold if standard is not met utilizing JDE software-Write product material reject notices for any material that is nonconforming-Communicate with material suppliers about nonconforming product-Responsible for all testing and correspondence for new labels and closures utilized by The Wine Group (scuff testing, tap-torque testing, screw cap torque testing, etc.)Lab Safety MonitorResponsible for maintaining responsible behaviors to ensure lab safety and cleanliness.-Schedule and lead bi-weekly safety meetings and attend corporate-level safety meetings-Monitor and maintain 5s practices within the lab-Create safety incident reports for the lab and develop corresponding 5-why response plans for incidents Show less
