  My interest is in 1) helping people enjoy/benefit from psalms through learning to translate and perform them in their own language, using their own cultural oral art. 2) My work on lament psalms has taken me into a study of trauma, and how composing one's own lament-poem can help bring healing. 3) I am exploring the use of performance (including indigenous oral art, songs of praise, prayers of lament) to help people find richness and healing in biblical narratives such as Ruth. 4) I hope to run Poetry and Performance workshops in a junior school next year, as a means to cultivate soft skills (social and emotional learning) to help the learners thrive.
