      Job Responsibilities as a Cyclotron/PET-CT Engineer:1-Manage routine operational activities for the successful operation of the cyclotrons to manufacture of radioisotopes to be used to label radio pharmaceuticals, including [18F]FDG in strict adherence to GMP.2-Establish and maintain rotas for staff (including me) for routine operational activities, maintenance and breakdowns.3-Plan and implement a rota basis for the cyclotron operators to meet the demand for the production of radio-synthesis of PET tracers in accordance with a pre-determined daily timetable.4-Participate in training and development related to radiopharmaceutical production to ensure the operational roles and to ensure ongoing personal development and best practice.5-Establish and maintain detailed schedules of work required for the cyclotrons and facility.6-Design and implement appropriate planned preventative maintenance schedules for the cyclotrons and facility.7-Ensure efficient performance of, and undertake first-line maintenance and any required troubleshooting of the cyclotrons and facility.8-Work with the Operations team and Radiation Protection officer to assist with the development, implementation and management of cGMP and QA systems and procedures.9-Act as a cyclotron operator for cyclotron activities in accordance with the pre-determined daily timetable.10-Ensure process are in place to monitor and maintain appropriate stocks levels of chemicals, consumables, and spare parts as well as the safe disposal of waste chemicals and materials.11-A key player in the introduction and development of new equipment, including writing and performing validation protocols.12-Assume responsibility for the safe and efficient handling of all radioactive substances produced by the cyclotrons.13-Working with the site team ensure appropriate risk assessments and procedures are in place to ensure staff work in a safe manner.
