The highlights of my time at Foxwood are:- Acting for liquidators in, inter alia, an ongoing claw back action of around $6 mm to $7 mm against directors of the company for misappropriating funds and diverting assets of the company prior to liquidation. Successfully arguing, on the basis of the liquidator's powers under the Companies Act, for the production of a hard disk and thumbdrive against the directors for forensic inspection to be performed thereon to extract material information of the company.- Assisting in ongoing action worth around $70 mm against inter alios Indonesia directors and an Indonesian company who sold land to around 400 investors, but were not delivered.- Acting for liquidators in resisting an injunction brought by another company to restrain a winding up action with a claim of $900k which is going on appeal to the Court of Appeal.- Acting for client in the insurance industry in an ongoing action for defamation, malicious falsehood and negligence against the financial director of his agency.- Working on an injunction to restrain the calling of an EGM of a public listed company on the basis that the notice for the meeting was deceptive/misleading and therefore defective at law.
