  As a regional Advisor, I was responsible for designing and delivering capacity building and programme advisory services to Actionaid county programs and other civil society organizations across Africa, Asia and the Americas. Actionaid Denmark through the MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation in Arusha Tanzania held the mandate for capacity building across the Actionaid Federation Globally. This platform provided me with the opportunity to support governance programs across Africa, Asia and the Americas. Support included trainings in Human Rights Based Approaches, Governance & Accountability, Civic Engagement, Tax Justice among others.   Working in the Governance Unity at United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kenya. I was part of the team that created and delivered the impactful Amkeni Wakenya project. Amkeni Wakenya was a governance and human rights project aiming at building capacities of civil society organizations to contribute to the governance reforms in Kenya. Premised on implementation of the Kenya's 2010 constitution, Amkeni Wakenya worked with Civil society and other Non State actors in the areas of Decentralization, Human Rights and Access to Justice. Managing a portfolio of over 40 partners and about $12 million in revenue, my role as a program and grants officer included sourcing potential grantees, conducting due diligence, delivering support and monitoring performance of the partners while intervening with appropriate capacity building interventions on identified capacity gaps.   The Centre for Law & Research International (CLARION) is one of the earliest NGOs to take up agitation and advocacy for governance and human rights reforms in the country. At CLARION, I led the human rights, governance and research portfolio. In this role, I led work on decentralization and human rights working closely with civil society peers in advancing the opening up of the civic apace in Kenya. I also helped in design and roll out of several researches and authored publications.
