  I am a MCHS Public Health AmeriCorps member serving at Milwaukee Riverkeeper as their Sustainability Coordinator! • Facilitated public outreach by designing and publishing the monthly electronic newsletter sent to 950 subscribers, by co-creating and coordinating all social media posts, and by managing the website. • Increased public education and awareness of the environmental, climate, and health impacts of plastics by organizing seven events and webinars and attending thirty-four local community events. • Managed and grew several Plastic-Free MKE programs that discouraged single-use such as the H2O Refill Station Program, which prevented 5,120 single-use water bottles from being discarded, as well as the Lake Friendly Businesses, Neighborhoods, and Conferences Programs. • Supervised two summer interns that required the delegation and approval of tasks, as well as trained and monitored over twenty volunteers on the impact of plastic and our overall mission, enabling them to present at local events.
