Julio is an outstanding professional. He has developed a strategic way of thinking ecosystems considering all the influencing factors, he had the ability to read our needs and helped us to build an initiative that still has a positive impact, focused in how closing the gaps for reaching our goals.

At FairSupply we interrogate data, aided by knowledge and collective intelligence at the service of humanity, in the form of free modules and libraries available to anyone who wants -and knows- how to use them. The questions we are trying to tackle are as follows: 1. Where (country / industry) is there a higher prevalence of forced labor and how is this phenomenon generated? 2. Which industry/country pairs generate the most GHG emissions. We need to make sure that the data in global reports makes sense compared against the total economic output in those industries. 3. What types of industries are the ones that generate the greatest water stress and in which type of water (blue, green or gray). 3. How di-similar are sets of words/descriptions of products and services across different coding systems (example: between the system defined by UN Comtrade and the taxonomy of any Central Bank in the world). The techniques and technologies we are using are: 1. Languages: Python and R for data analysis and D3.js, for visualisation. 2. Libraries: For machine learning models, mainly PyTorch. For natural language models, HuggingFace and Transformers (written on top of PyTorch). For network and group analysis we use NetworkX and Graph-Tool. In visualization, Seaborn, Matplotlib, GGPlot [R], Plotly [Python and R]. 3. IDE: VisualStudio code with the extension of IPython and RStudio. 4. Mathematics/statistics: We try to evaluate every single model using metrics from information theory and, therefore, Bayesian statistics. In particular, we always visualise the underlying distributions of the variables under study and calculate distance measures between them, considering at least the Kullback-Leibler & Jensen-Shannon measures.

Since March 2020, I have been involved in supporting Empower-It founder's decision-making process as well as in the strategy execution. Empower-IT is a group of sales consultants with a wide knowledge of the best practices and challenges which foreign IT companies face during their business development strategy through LATAM. The main asset is understanding how decision-makers all across Latin America decide when buying IT, and how to introduce and distribute software or consulting service, in order to catch their attention and interest. Besides, there is a huge network of potential partners for your software solution or service that covers the most important LATAM markets and industries.
