We are a not-for-profit housing association with over 6500 properties in and around Maidstone, Kent. We also offer sheltered housing, and housing related support services for older or vulnerable people in their homes, and Lifeline community alarm system. My role is to engage with partner organisations to ensure our customers have a progressive and successful journey into sustained employment. This includes engaging with JCP, Work Programme prime contractors and sub contractors, support organisations, charitable organisations, and of course our tenants. I am also developing a range of training opportunities for tenants to learn new skills and also gain accredited qualifications to take into the work force. Show less

    • Team Leader for Employer Relationship Managers in Kent and Medway
      • Sep 2007 - May 2012

Sept 07 - Jan 09 At Avanta TNG I was the Area Manager for Kent and Medway LSC contracts. I was responsible for a team of 14 staff with various competencies. On a daily basis they report directly to me so I deal with many HR issues as well as performance management, training and development and supervision issues. I manage compliance with our contracts which involves targeting sales staff and ensuring that the assessment teams adhere to our delivery model. Management Information is a large part of the role which involves manipulating databases and using excel. I chair monthly team meetings and conduct one: ones with all staff involved. Regular reviews of our profiles against actual figures are a daily part of my role as is meeting with our Stakeholders and Regional Directors. Jan 09 to July 11 Heading up the Employer Engagement Function within Kent and Medway demanded that I deliver on FND, ESF and R2R contracts. When commencing this role I firstly recruited and trained a team of Employer Relationship Managers who were fit for purpose and then developed KPI’s for the ERM’s which would exceed our contractual obligations and drive high performance. During my first year, Jan 09 – Dec 09 my team achieved 343 jobs. During the annum period of Jan 10 to Dec 10 my team achieved 692 job outcomes demonstrating a 49.5% increase. To drive my teams performance I ensure I am approachable and accessible at all times. I attend Employer meetings with my ERM’s which allows both parties to benefit and I offer feedback accordingly. This also ensures I maintain the employer facing part of Employer Engagement. I maintain and manage a strong portfolio of nationwide accounts.I measure sustainability within my teams FND outcomes and our sustainability stats are between 50 and 100%. Show less

    • Training Centre Manager

I was employed by Kids Inc Nurseries who own six nurseries in Kent, Essex and Surrey to develop a Training Centre. This I have done and we are now registered with CACHE to provide early years care awards to learners. I have managed this progression and gained the awarding body and funding bodies accreditations whilst developing the numerous policies and procedures, which must accompany them. I have managed our contract to receive government funding for some learners and completed tender documents to develop the centre further. I was also responsible for managing our staffs learning. We have 150 employees whom all have requirements as laid down by Ofsted. These requirements range from an in house Behaviour Management training through to Paediatric First Aid 12 hour courses. I have currently managed our first EV since gaining registration and we received “exemplary”, which I am delighted and feel demonstrates the quality of work I administer and expect from my team.
