Juliet Melamid has been great in working with the Career Development staff at our school. We initially got in touch through a colleague on campus to create a social skills training seminar for students on the spectrum. We held the program a few weeks before our career fair to provide them with strategies for approaching employers and understanding career fair etiquette and expectations. She was very informative and hands-on with the students that participated. This session was so valuable, we requested a session to provide training for the staff in my office. Along with Debra Solomon, they created a presentation to help us understand the strengths and challenges of students on the spectrum and how to assist them in marketing their skills and obtaining employment. They are both a joy to work with and the information they shared with us has not only been beneficial when working with students on the spectrum but also students with other anxiety or learning disabilities.
