I direct and programme work for the Mainhouse and the Studio theatres, past productions include A View from the Bridge, Sense and Sensibility, Everything is Possible - the York Suffragettes, The Machine Stops, In Fog and Falling Snow, Betrayal, A Number, See How They Run, Morgana le Fey, Angels & Insects, Escaping Alice, Blue/Orange, The Crucible, Two Planks and a Passion, Oleanna, Twelfth Night, Rupert Brooke, Beyond Measure and The Journey, plus children's shows The Elves and the Shoemakers, The Book of Dragons, Whatever Next and Rabbit & Hedgehog. I am Chair of the Trustees for Out of Character Theatre Company, and have directed Objects of Terror, Tales from Kafka and Henry IV with them. I head up all the creative engagement work for children, young people and adult community. I adapt work for the stage, recent adaptations include Angels & Insects by A. S. Byatt, Henry IV by Pirandello, Romeo & Juliet for Pilot Theatre, Tales from Kafka, and three plays for 3 - 7 yr olds. I co-produce a biennial festival of theatre for children and commission playwrights , often in connection with our Education and Youth Theatre work. Show less
