Julie and I had the opportunity to connect as part of our participation in BCD Travel's Challenge program for leadership development. Together, we were part of a smaller group of 4 participants working closely on each week's content and assignments. During this time, I got to know Julie as a positive, passionate and creative person. From the start, it was easy to build a connection due to Julie's openness and welcoming attitude. This helped us as a group to start building personal relationships and define how we were looking to work as a team. In our group sessions, Julie showed to be self-reflective, share practical examples related to the content and care for other perspectives. Encouraging other's to be part of the conversation and at the same time keep the conversation going. As an additional bonus, you can rely on Julie to dedicate herself to providing a creative touch to the objectives and deliverables of the group. I’ve been leading and working alongside Julie for the past three years on the Traveler Engagement team at Advito. Her list of exceptional qualities is long, so to highlight just a few, Julie consistently: • Showcases drive, talent, and a devotion to becoming successful in her current role, while seeking skills to elevate her to the next. She is a natural problem-solver and critical-thinker, easily identifying and proposing solutions to any road bumps that arise along the way. • Pioneers the way bringing new, creative ideas to our team where we continually develop new emerging practice areas. • Provides exceptional consultation and service to a portfolio of some of our largest and longest-tenured clients - from major pharmaceuticals to consumer products, to financial institutions. • Excels at coaching, guiding, motivating, and developing members of the team. Last year Julie took on a leadership role where she manages three teammates that operate at multiple positions and span the US and EU. She’s always open to feedback in order to grow and take the steps to become a future leader. • Willing to jump on new opportunities – from speaking engagements to networking events, to industry projects, where she can expand her skills and experience while promoting our practice area and organization. • Tackles new areas including business acumen topics for her to develop a greater understanding of the business and decision-making processes.
