My thesis project consist in studying the role of the NADPH oxidase 2 (NOX2) during the crosstalk between innate and adaptive immunity. An inherited mutation of NOX2 gene causes a disease called chronic granulomatous disease (CGD). CGD patient suffers from recurrent infection and is also more susceptible to developp auto-immune disease. During my project I aim to characterize the consequence of NOX2 deficiency on T and B lymphocyte response.Karl-Heinz Krause's laboratory has a long experience in the study of the NOX family. In this context, one of my function is to develop a new side of research and to develop tools to study immune response in vivo and ex vivo in this laboratory.
