My initial role with Nuance was as a HR Advisor covering 1 store at Manchester Airport providing very general HR support and advice most specifically focusing on recruitment and employee relations. I also covered several TUPE transfers including the Bristol and Belfast airport stores. In 2002 I was chosen as the HR lead for the transfer of 15 airport stores in Sweden. As part of a Sweden based multi-function project team I was specifically accountable for all HR aspects of the transfer including ensuring we managed the transfer within complex European legislation, recruitment and selection, contracts, induction and employee engagement. On return from Sweden I was promoted into the role of HR and Training Manager. With this role I was responsible for business partnering with regional and store managers to provide generalist HR and Training support across 5 locations within the UK and ROI, including employee relations, performance management, leadership / supervisory development and coaching, recruitment as well as support business initiatives and change management.
