Serve as the chief staff leader of the Building Owners’ and Managers’ Association of Oakland/East Bay (aka BOMA Oakland/East Bay). Represents BOMA Oakland/East Bay in the community, with other businesses and charitable groups, and to the media, in coordination with the volunteer leadership. Works to build BOMA Oakland/East Bay’s brand awareness as the premier real estate association in the Oakland/East Bay and surrounding areas. Responsibility for execution/adherence of all the policies as set forth in the Association’s Bylaws or as may be established from time to time by the Board of Directors, implementation of all Association programs and events, as well as oversight of the Association’s financial structure, resource allocations and other financial matters.• Instituted a new process for strategic shaping and thinking for organization’s planning. As part of the new strategic shaping, improvement on governance structure was identified and re-organization to key strategic issues was implemented. • Worked with board and committee leaders to improve educational offerings through adult learning principles and expanding topic identification and development to membership.• Facilitated leadership discussions to encourage collaboration and teamwork. Led to fewer conflicting events and maximizing the events so that they crossed over areas of discipline thus engaging more members and improving attendance at all events.• Directed all aspects of operations, including human resources, marketing, budgeting, utilization review, cost control, continuous quality improvement, government and community affairs.• Evaluated current AMS through interviews with current board, leadership and staff.
