Bio
Lucy Ruble
Julie Snow and I worked together as technical writers for Sun and Oracle. She excels in building positive working relationships better than anyone I know. She's very intelligent, insightful, personable, and a fantastic writer of both technical and nontechnical material. She's the kind of person who goes the extra mile, not only for her assignments, but also for her colleagues and management. For example, Julie took the initiative to find ways to streamline and modernize how our customers locate relevant information in our sea of documentation. For this endeavor, she single-handedly found the required tools and processes in distant departments, educated herself in their use, produced new modernized web pages, then held numerous training sessions for multiple writing departments. As a former colleague, I would be thrilled to work with Julie again. If I were a hiring manager, I'd hire Julie in a heartbeat.

Julie was the documentation lead on Sun's Modular Datacenter (aka: Project Blackbox) product where we had a very small group of engineering subject matter experts. Julie did an outstanding job pulling information from each expert, then compiled into a form normal people could read and follow. Our schedule deadlines were always tight and I could rely on Julie time and time again to beat the deadlines. Julie is the utmost professional and one of the hardest working folks I've had the pleasure of having on any of my teams. I look forward to working with Julie on other projects in the future.
