Julie is a highly effective leader. As a district manager in downtown Seattle for Starbucks, Julie managed and led one of the highest profile districts within the Starbucks corporation. Julie inspires and engages her team; Julie uncovers how best to communicate, motivate and challenge each of her individual team members. Julie effectively balances vision setting with team support and accountability; Julie has clearly demonstrated the ability to recruit, develop and grow a high performance team of managers. Additionally, Julie operates with high skill levels of business acumen, planning and organization. For instance, when Starbucks launched a new pastry line, Julie spearheaded the launch for the greater Seattle area, This included all the planning logistics, conveyance and display of product and monitoring the sales and any feedback concerning this launch. Julie coordinated closely with the national food team, effectively sharing information and insight, which in turn helped the Starbucks organization fine tune and improve the future launches of the new pastry line. Julie is an extremely talented, highly motivated, positive and effective executive leader. I highly recommend Julie for any executive leadership position.

Julie was the most dedicated and passionate District Manager I have had the opportunity to work with at Starbucks. Julie cared about each one of her partners and employees, and always made them feel welcomed and cherished in all aspects of the business. Julie’s leadership was consistent and inspiring. Her ability to drive impressive results, and lead her team to do the same is a competency I will forever be grateful for. Julie will be successful in all of her future endeavors and I would be lucky and grateful to have the opportunity work with her in the again in the future.
