Julie, thanks for mentoring me and helping me navigate the complex and wonderful world of SLP’s. You’re passion for supporting Educators, Parents and Students was ever-present, you also helped me understand the art of student/parent advocacy. Much of what you shared with me I still use on a daily basis when interacting with SPED and SLP teams at both the site and district level. For anyone wondering about what it’s like to work with Julie, I would want her on my team for sales presentations, internal meetings or fact-finding missions any day of the week. She is detail oriented, organized and always brings her fun upbeat energy into into any situation and brightens every room virtual or real that she enters!

This was the first role of this type within the organization. I provided presales support to establish the value of the product to top 100 schools, state level representatives, superintendents, administrators, special education directors, coordinators, and end users. In meetings, I provided a demonstration of the product and answered all subject-matter-expertise related questions while using soft sales skills to build a relationship with a customer. In October 2021 as the company continued to grow, I extended my skills beyond the sales arena by contributing to curriculum development, product development, and informing marketing of use cases across the field of special education. I acquired training to have a dyslexia curriculum certification, developed and delivered national conference presentations, and worked alongside national industry area experts in special education, dyslexia, and speech language pathology. When I was given an opportunity to participate in sales work, I jumped at it... And I felt so "at home." As someone who spent 10 years in private practice, this felt very comfortable. I got to be in control of my future and talk about something I love every day. Working for Amplio changed my life. When I joined the sales organization, it became a team of two. I watched it all unfold. And, underwent the most intense professional development of my entire career, learned a lot about myself, gained confidence, and fell in love with tech - which is fitting since in the 1970s my mother was in sales and my father was in computer programming!High-lights:-Pivoted on the fly-Sold staffing and SaaS-Relationship based selling; professional to professional-Marketing contributor - videos, voiceovers, web content-Informed product -International startup; All remote except travel-Involvement with multiple state level negotiations and partnerships -Top 100 schools-Experience with a wide range of stakeholders (school administrators, C-Suite, state leaders, superintendents, teachers, therapists, industry area experts, parents, students)-responsible for inception of contact with customer to closing the deal with a signed contract. -Eager hunter-RFPs, co-ops, and purchasing alliances Show less

After starting a family, moving across the state and letting go of my private work, I decided to try teletherapy. Little did I know I was one of the first US employees hired in an international, ultra-fast-paced, high-tech growth company. I started by providing speech therapy to students in public schools through Amplio's school-based speech language pathology platform. That is how I transitioned to tech.
