Julie is an energy filled, life loving, person you can rely on. I have seen her go above and beyond, behind the scenes, to reach deadlines, finish projects, and ultimately create and deliver a polished experience. Working with Julie through different projects and roles, she has always been willing to accept critique and be teachable in her efforts of doing her best. However, the ways that Julie has always saved the day for me have been in the moments when I don't have to ask her to do something while being caught up worrying about everything else. She knows enough of what needs to be done and gets it done and does it well. Of all the Teaching Assistants I worked with and trained, she was my favorite and my life saver.
Melissa M. Bair
As a student employee, Julie prepared some collateral for the Communication Department internship program. Her work was professional-grade, but what impressed me even more was Julie's willingness to work with me to make small changes until we felt it was "just right." She was prompt and helpful and just fantastic to work with.

Teachers Assistant and Visual Communication Lab Technician
-
Jan 2011 - Jul 2013
At Brigham Young University, I was hired as a Lab Assistant because of my knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite programs. I worked in the school computer lab helping students with questions and problems using these programs, their computers, and/or Microsoft programs. I had a private tutoring schedule as well, where I worked with students one and one, teaching and problem solving. I also worked as a teacher’s assistant, I assisted the teacher with tutorials for the students, grading projects and assignments and occasionally taught the class when the teacher was detained.

Assistant Designer / Productions Manager
-
Jul 2008 - Aug 2009
I worked at Benchmark Graphics as an Assistant Designer and I was Production Manager. I not only improved my knowledge of design skills, but also learned new designing programs that were essential to producing the finished product. I also learned about the complexity of producing the designs which have been created. With very little training and supervision I was able to learn the responsibilities required of my position, and quickly understood what it took to be successful. The communication between the design team and the production team is crucial in completing a clients order and I have developed this skill. I have experience with Solar Printers, Gerber Printers, routing machines, and vinyl plotting. I have improved and updated my skills in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Composer.

Van Etten Studios is a graphic design and marketing company with clients throughout the United States. While interning directly with Dave Van Etten I was involved in designing, logos, layouts, packaging, newspaper ads, magazines, signs, and web design. I learned how to work closely with the clients and the value of excellent communication skills. Van Etten Studios is a graphic design and marketing company with clients throughout the United States.
