Head of the Planning team at Carver Knowles assisting farmers and rural property owners through the planning minefield to achieve maximum value for their property. All applications undertaken from prior notifications through to rural workers dwellings, restriction removal and Certificates of Existing Use. Majority of applications within Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.Also act as an AMC agent providing finance to farmers and rural businesses, producing business plans and the application forms to ensure a no hassle process. Valuation is another key aspect of work for private individuals tax and future planning, on behalf of banks for secured lending or to assist solicitors with Inheritance tax calculations.The Basic Premium scheme is another area where I provide guidance and support to farmers to ensure their properties are compliant with the latest regulations so no penalties are applied. Grants and Environmental Stewardship have formally been part of this workload and we wait with anticipation for the new schemes to come forward. Show less

The small family hill farm comprises 250 hectares of pasture, moorland and woodland. The main enterprise on the farm is a flock of Exmoor Horn sheep, with a successful holiday cottage. I have worked on the family farm during school and university holidays and now complete all the farm paperwork, complete Vat returns, all the necessary bookwork and liaise with the farm accountant to finalise end of year accounts and future budgets. I am also involved in the marketing and booking of the holiday cottage. Show less
