Julie always goes above and beyond in all she does. I have seen her work diligently even as she faced her own health challenges. Please know the AOK she does is incredibly important not only now, but always. Christine Zak- Edmonds

I have known Julie in professional, volunteer, and personal settings since the beginning of 2014. Every setting that I have worked in with Julie has been a pleasure. Her leadership style and skills are one of her most admirable qualities. I have personally seen Julie lead groups through clearer understanding of situations within our community as well as lead and facilitate several training events. Julie’s effective communication skills matched with her warm and compassionate personality makes for a remarkable combination to help organizations and individuals grow. Julie, I have come to know, is a lifelong learner. She is always striving to gain knowledge on any and all things that she is working on to help further the success of herself, her organization, and the people working around her. I would recommend Julie Herzog for many roles as her versatility and adaptability is second to none. She has constantly shown excellence in the several areas that I have seen her work.

In FY20, the Tazewell AOK Network was awarded a AOK / University of Kansas Integrated Referral & Intake System (IRIS) pilot. IRIS is a web-based community referral system developed by the University of Kansas Center for Public Partnerships and Research (KU-CPPR). IRIS is a communication tool to support best practices in social service referral and coordination among community partners. As community manager, my role has been to guide community partners through implementation as well as monitor and cultivate the IRIS community after launch. With my lead, we have grown our IRIS community from 14 to 30 organizations in just a little over a year. I continue to engage new organizations to expand our IRIS community.

I decided to take my love of art one step further. What started out as a hobby, a time to relax, be creative and lose myself in the colors has become my own business: pour painting. Acrylic pour painting is abstract art and vibrant colors of fluid painting. The process of pour painting is freeing and end results are beautiful. I decided to take my love of art one step further.
