I have worked with Julie Herr both as a parent with a child in the Belleville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and as an instructor with the Beginning Strings program. Julie has a level of commitment to excellence that I have never seen in a youth orchestra manager. I have been on the board and worked for other youth orchestra organizations and noticed those managers were not as involved and detailed as Julie. She is an excellent leader, delegating work to parent volunteers and community members. She is creative in community outreach and public relations. She is an excellent communicator and facilitator for the directors and board. Julie's high level of experience provides stability and longevity for the youth orchestra program. Her professionalism has elevated the youth orchestra organization to another level for posterity.
