  As Vineyard Manager Southern Valleys there was a total of 125 Ha of mixed grape production over 3 separate vineyards. Two of the properties produced high-end Pinot Noir for Cloudy Bay, whilst the third was a mix of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and the quintessential Sauvignon Blanc,Beyond day to day management and grape production was the management of 3 permanent Southern Valleys dedicated staff, 10 to 15 company operators when on Southern Valley sites, and throughout the harvest period coordinating and managing handpick of up to 80T per day and up to 120 contract staff, as well as the logistics that go with such an operation.Managing 3 distinct vineyards and budgets was an ongoing administrative challenge and as such I am conversant with the Microsoft Suite in order that I could effectively communicate in a myriad of ways with company and external stakeholders alike.An interest in compliance throughout my tenure saw a move toward company compliance (Sustainable Winegrowing, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Wine Standard Management Programmes), designing of business-wide training modules (Standard Operating Procedures), and also health and safety systems (Best Practice Modules).
