My main responsibilities are ensuring good governance, integrity of financial and IT systems & data, and compliance with financial, legal and HR/IR obligations.Regular functions include production of annual budgets and updated forecasts, monthly management accounts and weekly cash flow forecasts, bank authorisations, statutory reporting, providing guidance to the finance staff in the various businesses and assisting the business managers in asset management, debtor control and budgeting, plus oversight of I.T. and communications.In addition, I work with the Directors and each Business Manager in the planning and development of business plans and strategies to drive business improvements in order to achieve strategic goals. This includes reviewing, formalising and documenting all systems and processes that have a commercial impact on the business, providing input and advice, reviewing contracts, providing support and guidance in all HR & IR matters, reviewing & updating Policies & Procedures and championing change management.
