Julie is a very passionate and caring Center Director. She is extremely hard working, reliable and cares deeply for each of her students. Julie helps all of her students have success in decoding, encoding, vocabulary and reading comprehension. Most importantly, she helps students become confident readers and assists them in becoming life-long learners!

Julie and I have been co-reading specialists and Site Directors of different locations of PRIDE Learning Centers ad different times, depending on the needs of the various sites. I have seen Julie's exemplary work as a teacher, and recommend her most highly. She reaches and teaches every child. She is not someone who settles for low expectations in her students and infuses each with feelings of self-worth and accomplishment using positive behavior interventions such as redirection to task, praise targeted to specific efforts, and I cannot overstate the importance of her relationship with her students. Each wants to please her. She is a natural teacher, in addition to being skilled at it. As a site director, Julie is an example of how to be well organized, and she has an ability to schedule students effectively, set boundaries, and still be approachable, kind, thoughtful and empathetic. Her sites run well, are always in good condition, and she makes each place she works a haven for parents, students and teachers, alike. I am delighted to know Julie. She improves every moment of every day. That's just her nature. And her welcoming personality makes being in her presence a delight for all of us.

I am currently the Site Coordinator at PRIDE Learning Center. I have the privilege of working one on one with students helping them become confident and happy readers. At PRIDE we use a multi-sensory reading program based on Orton Gillingham research. I work with all types of people who are experiencing difficulties learning to read. I also assess students when they come in and meet with the parents of our students. I am currently the Site Coordinator at PRIDE Learning Center.
