Julie is an incredibly positive, persuasive, and fun leader who *also* consistently generated amazing results – from amazing fundraising numbers, to expansive marketing reach, to building and retaining a fun, collaborative, talented team. She has a unique ability to see – and clearly communicate – the big picture, without losing sight of the finer details. I learned a ton from her that has helped me in literally every position I’ve had since.

I am honored to recommend, Julie as she is one of the country's most outstanding communicators, especially for those non-profit organizations whose mission reflects the desire to bring about meaningful and sustainable improvements in the social services area, especially reforming public education. Julie's unique professional skill is that she brings a dualistic approach to PR, marketing and outreach. In fact those 3 terms tend to focus outward--what message does the organization want to get out to its clients, consumers, and/or network? Julie sees this work as dialogue--in order to communicate effectively, one needs to know one's audience, and to do that, one needs to provide means of outreach/marketing/PR from the clients and customers to be sure that Julie and her team recognize their needs. These days the Stanford U "D school" is leading the effort to define and implement design in this iterative, dualistic fashion. My point is that Julie was way ahead of the curve, implementing such an approach when I worked with her in the CA charter school community in the first decade of the 21st Century. She is, thus, a creative design thinker, and her people skills are such that her work for an organization with measurable goals to accomplish is inclusive, based on mutual trust. It was a pleasure to work with her and see her in action promoting relational work and interpersonal partnerships, work that effectively advanced the mission of the CA Charter Schools Association and its member schools. I recommend Julie with great enthusiasm and without qualification.
