Although I married into the contracting industry I quickly learned the ropes and the importance of creating a strong culture at work in order to motivate employees and their families which allowed us to provide the excellent customer service needed to our customers in order to make a profit. In 2001 the company was sold to ABC Services so we could follow our dream of helping others in the the service contracting trades along with others around the world. Entrepreneurship runs in my family. My grandmother started her cleaning business as a small family owned and operated business in 1975 as a maid service and cleaning company, going in after my grandfather and great-grandfathers construction company and cleaning up the mess they left behind. As the suburbs of Chicago grew, so did my grandmother's cleaning business. By the time I graduated from college I had over 10 years of experience cleaning homes, training employees, answering phones, handling customer concerns, quoting and scheduling jobs, insurance claims, payroll and management. It was only natural to start and run my very own franchise office. After almost six years of running my own business servicing some of the most expensive homes in northern Lake County IL I decided to sell my office back to the main company with my 13 workers and over 200 weekly accounts and move on to what would be the springboard to my current career.
