School based Physical Therapist for student throughout the district from Early Childhood to Graduation within the Public School Setting. Treatment sessions are varied and tailored to the needs of the student or group. Some sessions are one on one with the student, while other are in a group setting. Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Pathologists frequently work in collaboration to address integration of group functional goals throughout the school environment. PT sessions may include education of non-therapy team member to facilitate increased functional movement throughout the day. I also work with teacher to develop and implement accommodations and modifications to the curriculum as necessary. Computer based documentation on Tie Net is completed in a timely fashion. Frequent communication with parents or caregivers, physician, administration and building teams is necessary. Ypsilanti Community Schools was formed by the merger of Ypsilanti Public Schools and Willow Run Community Schools. Show less
