Ottawa Tourism a not for profit, membership based organization with over 400 members representing accommodations, meeting venues, attractions, restaurants, transportation, DMCs, outdoor experiences, festivals and entertainment. For a full list of our members visit www.ottawatourism.ca. Our mission is to provide industry leadership, strategic direction and destination marketing of Ottawa in cooperation with our partners and members. My primary role is to promote and sell Ottawa and the national capital region to Government and Canadian Association meeting executives with the view of bringing their next meeting/convention to Ottawa. I help meeting planners gather proposals for their guest room and meeting space requirements as well as off site venues, then create a customized bid package to present to them. #myottawa I also work as a researcher for seeking and recruiting Local Organizing Committee (LOC) members for support in bringing International events to the Capital. • Founder of LivPolarBear
      • Oct 2012 - Mar 2015

LivPolarBear is a children's environmental project created by an 8 year old girl in a hope to help the preservation of Polar Bear conservation and raise awareness on Global Warming. LivPolarBear is known across Canada by offering its 'pay it forward' clay bear project, free art competitions and Polar Party Events. I am a driven individual who welcomes taking the initiative and I thrive on motivating and inspiring myself and those around me. As an active member of my community and youth in particular, I recently spearheaded the ‘LivPolarBear - Pay It Forward’ children’s environmental campaign, which is a fundraiser now recognized in media stations across Canada. In December 2013, I personally led, organized and promoted the ‘LivPolarBear-Polar Party’ in Ottawa, raising over $12,800 in support of the World Wildlife Foundation (‘WWF’) Arctic Homeland project, and in particular, the Plight of the Polar Bear. My work with ‘LivPolarBear’ was done entirely on a volunteer basis. LivPolarBear successfully secured donation and sponsorship from over 40 companies, including Canada Post, Canadian Museum of Nature and The Royal Canadian Mint. I created and maintain a web page for ‘LivPolarBear’ (http://LivPolarBear.com) and I am in charge of all advertising, social media, live television interviews and networking. I have worked with local councilors, local celebrities such as Mr. Max Keeping, WWF Arctic Director Mr. M. VonMirbach and the Mayor of Ottawa. Prime Minister Stephen Harper has written to ‘LivPolarBear’ in support and admiration, and the Right Honorable Governor General Mr. David Johnston invited us for a personal "tea" with himself and his lovely wife Shannon. LiV has been awarded with 4 Awards - Caring Canadian Award, Canadian museum of Nature Award, Max Keeping Youth Spirit Award & The Starfish Award Show less
