ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Works collaboratively with the faculty and the staff to assist them in increasing student achievement through the integration of information technology.Facilitates and provides leadership for the faculty and the staff to assist them in integrating Professional Learning Communities.Oversees and manages the professional development funds from Cathedral High School and other sources such as grants and Title funds. Creates an atmosphere of trust and relationship-building so that faculty members will be willing to try new applications/programs regarding technology integration.Plans and facilitates the Professional Development days.Presents ideas and strategies at faculty meetings and any other gatherings that would help the staff continue to grow, learn and discover “best practices.”Works collaboratively with the Chief Information Officer to assist in implementing the Technology Plan and to coordinate professional development opportunities to fit the technology plan.Works closely with department heads to gather, disseminate, disaggregate and deliver to teachers the results of standardized testing, pre/post classroom assessments and other common assessments.Assists teachers in applying to present at state, local and national conferences.Plans and facilitates new teacher orientation program and mentoring process.Serves as a resource for teachers as they work toward the professional and personal goals that are part of their professional growth plan.Oversees Coaching and Evaluation model including classroom walk-throughs and observations.Chairs all ISACS strategic planning objectives including accreditation process.Works with Vice Principal for Research and Curriculum to gather data and make curricular decisions based on data.Works with Vice Principal of Research and Curriculum to post teaching positions, set up interviews and hire teachers.
